About Me

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for over 10 years. Being  a native of Los Angeles, CA, I have been fortunate to work in a city that offers such a diverse and multicultural population. Throughout the years, my inspiration to be a therapist came from people of all walks of life. Some of  the things I remember are having friends of  different nationalities and lifestyles who engaged me in their cultures, working in the inner city  where families and kids struggled to survive on a day to day basis, an attentive counselor who listened, but never judged me. I felt comfort in the connection made with people whether briefly or over time. How cool would it be to carry some of that on?

Let’s face it, life isn’t easy, even  in sunny Southern California. Things don’t always  go smoothly…sometimes it does rain! We all experience some type of situation that is similar, yet carries different meaning to each of us. Whether it is depression, stress, loss, relationships, abuse, disability, disease or personal hardship, most of us have ‘been there’ and ‘felt that’. Some are resilient in times of adversity, while others may need guidance along the way. It’s my hope that you just don’t feel alone, whatever it may be.

I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of California, Long Beach and a Masters in Social Work with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of Southern California. In my practice I work with children, adolescents and adults with varying symptoms and diagnoses, some of which include:

  • Anxiety
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Bereavement and Loss (includes loss of  pets)
  • Borderline Personality
  • Depression
  • Self Esteem issues
  • Self Injury
  • Social Phobias
